Animal Success Stories
Dakotah
Update March 20, 2016: Its been a while since I updated you, Cindy. The pups are growing, as you can see from the attached picture, and rule the house with iron fists. They are playful and lovable and have become an integral part of our family. They spend hours playing outside with games that they've created, such as you can't come on the deck, no you can't have that toy, no you can't run ahead of me. Seeing them together makes us realize that taking the two was the right thing to do.
They have had all their shots and been nuetered/spayed. Dakota has a seresto collar, but because Dakota has taken off two of Annabelle's flea collars and almost daily takes off her regular collar (we now have two so one can be washed and dried), we've decided to use the drops on her. Although she is the boss, he tries to drag her around by her collars, thus the collar problem.
As you can tell, they have a great life and we have great pets.
...
I hope all is well with you. Please keep you eyes/ears open for a Malamute. We have room for one more.
Doris

December 2015: Update on Dakotah and Annabell: Cindy, I wanted you to know how much the pups have grown and how they are
doing. Dakota is 37 lbs and Annabell is 30. They are doing well. Have
found the couch and love sleeping on it. Dakota has been house trained,
but Annabell is a bit more reluctant. We don't have accidents every day,
but more often than I like. They sleep fairly well, although I think their
bladders want them to get up around 4 or 4:30. But they have learned that
going to bed means a biscuit and sleep and as soon as they see me getting
ready for bed, they are ready too.
We love them and are very happy to have them around. They are devilish,
though. Into everything so quickly that often we don't know what they are
doing until too late. I've lost a bunch of computer wires.
They've been to the vet twice and have another appointment on the 23rd.
They do well with the vet but you can tell they are scared. They love
people and greet them as long lost friends, to the detriment of the
visitors. I have to go out often and they greet me when I come home like
I've been gone for days. They are very sweet.
Hope you have a good holiday and thanks for giving us these two crazy,
loving pups.
Doris

Dakotah (now Dax) and Anna (now Anna-Belle) are doing great in their new home -- plenty of love and toys -- life is GREAT for a pup in the McCarthy household. Thank you, Doris, Jeannine and Alexander for giving my two beautiful babies such an amazing home.
