Update on McKinley: .
- If you want to live dangerously, try sitting on your older brother's head while he's sleeping on the ramp. That actually lasted much longer than we thought.
Yup, life is "interesting" as this process continues. :-)

Good morning!ÃÂ Wonderful seeing you last evening and having an opportunity to also see your lovely home.
So upon bringing the new pups home, Bella was totally frightened.ÃÂ She did not know what to make of the "wind-up toys" presented before her.ÃÂ Jethro was totally intrigued.ÃÂ He seemed to get into the playing right away.ÃÂ Bella did get into the swing of things after a while, and all four were tuckered out after playing in the yard.ÃÂ We foresee where "Mom" and "Dad"ÃÂ will benefit from Bella and Jethro having new playmates, and visa-versa.
We familiarized Juneau and McKinley with the crate as you instructed.ÃÂ They did whine for a short while each time they went in, but we recall Bella and Jethro being much more fussy when we brought them home.ÃÂ We all went upstairs to bed at 9:00 pm, then pups went out at 11:00 pm, 1:00 am, then 4:00 am when I got up.ÃÂ No accidents in the crate, they peed and/or pooped each time they went out.ÃÂ I think the longest they whined was for 15 to 20 minutes after the 1:00 am trip outside.ÃÂ One piddle on the kitchen floor earlier in the evening which will certainly not be the last.ÃÂ
My memory loss of puppyhood quickly was regained this morning when Michael took Bella and Jethro back upstairs, and I remained in the kitchen with Juneau and McKinley.ÃÂ "Mom's" slipper-socks and pink fluffy bathroom quickly became teething tools and play toys.ÃÂ OMG!ÃÂ Hard to discipline when one is laughing so hard.ÃÂ I now remember how sharp puppy nails and teeth are!ÃÂ I can hear Barbara Streisand singing "Memories" now!!! :-)
Michael handled feeding duty as I leave for work at 6:00 am.ÃÂ To quote my husband, it was "quite the scene" as McKinley dove into his food with gusto, sending kernels all over the place which Jethro obliged to pick up.ÃÂ Both pups see no challenge trying to get into the larger food bowls for Bella and Jethro.ÃÂ Everyone ended up eating with the exception of Bella, who is a fuss-bucket on most days.ÃÂ It will probably take both of us simultaneously coordinating feeding time for a while until we get some kind of system in place.
All in all, I think our main concern about all four "pups" getting along has been eliminated.ÃÂ We won't be leaving them alone together for quite some time.ÃÂ Bella & Jethro will be in their fenced yard when the weather allows; Juneau & McKinley in the crate in the kitchen.ÃÂ We also have a puppy area set up upstairs if all 4 need to be indoors. Michael is taking a half-day off today and is off tomorrow.ÃÂ I will be taking time off all next week so we'll have several days to get all of us accustom to the change.
Juneau and McKinley's first check-up at Cobleskill Vet Clinic is scheduled for Wednesday, 7/6, 2:30 pm.ÃÂ Jeanine and company are excited to meet the new additions to our family.ÃÂ :-)ÃÂ Will let you know how that goes in all regards.ÃÂ I made a copy of the medical history for them to keep.
Attached are some pictures.ÃÂ Thank you again for the advice, goodie bags and friendship. We are now blessed with four beautiful pups.
Kindest regards, Karen & Michael
KRINGLE
Here is a picture of Kringle, now Ti (short for Ticonderoga) in his new home, with "brother" Beau (formerly, our Frosty) & dad John. We hear that Ti is doing great and his big brother Beau is enjoying having a buddy & is protective of his little brother. We are so thankful to see our rescue babies so happy and well-loved.

3/22/15 Rex has been with us for two years as of today! He's gone from taking up my whole lap to the whole couch. Thank you for Rex and for all you do. I hope the rest of the K litter is doing well.

Cindy,
Hello! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to send you an update and Rex's neuter certificate (just so you have a copy, as discussed at the adoption, the $35 was a donation). Rex is doing very well. Currently he is almost 40 lbs, and is recovering nicely from his recent surgery. He graduated puppy class, and only has a few more teeth to go before all his puppy teeth are gone!
I looked at a picture of him yesterday from his adoption date, and I can't believe how much he's grown. Honestly, he's becoming more fun every day (and finds more trouble to get into, but that comes with growing up). I love to watch him explore and learn. Everyone still loves him when they meet him, and he loves everyone. ...I've been told more and more that he resembles Scooby-Doo :) .
Also, I thought I'd share this photo with you. Rex has definitely grown! The puppy picture was from his first day home, and the bottom picture was from this morning. :) Hope you're doing well!

Update:
Hi Cindy,
I thought you'd like to know that Lotsa continues to be a great puppy! She
is taking well to her training - learning her sits, stays, downs, & shares
incredibly fast. I think it helps that she has her "big brother" Endo (also
a rescue) to model good behavior for her. It's so fun to watch them romp
around - we joke that we have our own YouTube channel going 24/7! She
continues to love being in our laps & has recently discovered the joys of
the couch.
She just had her 2nd vet appointment & is very healthy & up to 25 pounds
already! She had her 2nd round of shots (& will go back again in 2 weeks
for the last). We'll schedule her spay appointment for when she nears 6
months or so.
I've attached a couple of photos of Lotsa & Endo so you can see how much fun
she's having exploring the world.
All our best, Erika & Derek

Hi Cindy,
Just wanted to let you know how much we are enjoying our new puppy! We
renamed her Lotsa (as in Lots 'a spots). She & Endo are getting along just
fine. In fact, they're both SO relaxed, but they are starting to romp a
little bit, especially when we are on one of our 100-times-a-day pee walks.
Lotsa hasn't had an accident indoors & hasn't chewed anything but her toys
(yet). As I type she is laying at my feet, totally zonked out from her big
day. She loves being outside in the yard, especially running through tall
plants & rolling around - very cute! However, she is VERY interested in the
chickens so we'll have to be careful to train her not to chase them.
Needless to say, we are 100% smitten!
Vet appointment made for next Monday.
Thank you for rescuing Lotsa & for making a match with our family. I hope
that Sydney is headed to his forever home soon too.
Best, Erika
